1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device. Some cookies last only as long as your browsing session (“session cookies”); others persist for a defined period (“persistent cookies”). Most browsers also support similar storage technologies (such as localStorage), which we group with cookies for the purpose of this policy.

Cookies allow websites to remember information about your visit — for example, that you have already accepted a cookie banner, or what your preferred reading-mode setting is. They can also be used to count visitors, anonymously, in aggregate.

We do not currently set any advertising cookies. The category exists in our consent banner for transparency in case our practices change.

3. Consent Mechanism

When you first visit, a banner at the bottom of the page lets you:

  • Accept All — turn on essential, functional, and analytics cookies.
  • Reject Non-Essential — only essential cookies are set.
  • Customize — choose category by category.

Your choice is saved in your browser’s localStorage under the key cookie-consent, with a timestamp and version number. You can change your preferences at any time by clearing the key in your browser’s developer tools, or by emailing us at privacy@stautmaster.com.

4. Browser Instructions

You can also manage cookies directly in your browser:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies.
  • Firefox: Preferences → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions.

For a fuller guide, see allaboutcookies.org.

5. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA / CPRA), you have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not sell or share your personal information in this sense. No action is required from you to exercise this right under our current practices. If our practices change, this section will be updated and you will be notified.

6. Changes to This Policy

If we change the cookies we use or the providers we work with, we will update this page and reset your consent so you can re-confirm.
